Mornings with Nespresso

This post is sponsored by Nespresso and I was gifted a Nespresso VertuoPlus machine in exchange for my honest opinion.

Not all coffee is created equal. That’s a strong statement (pun intended) but very true. I used to be an on-the-go coffee drinker because I never had homemade coffee that actually tasted good. Every time I  would make coffee for myself at home, the taste would leave a lot to be desired so I always resorted to stopping through a drive thru to grab a cup on my way to work every day. It was about a year and a half a go when a girlfriend of mine kept raving about how Nespresso was the best tasting coffee that she’s ever had. Mind you, she’s Cuban and has drank some pretty amazing coffee from her homeland so that statement says a lot.

I was skeptical but decided to look up the brand anyways. I read numerous blog reviews from people who had the same claim and decided to buy the Vertuo machine for my husband for Father’s Day (and for myself) last year. The hype was right, the coffee is incredible! I couldn’t believe the freshness and flavor came from such a small capsule and the crema that it produces is thick and rich and rivals your favorite coffee shop. I was blown away at the taste and to my surprise, my husband was too! He commented immediately on it’s taste and flavors.

Needless to say that when Nespresso reached out to me to try their new VertuoPlus machine and Double Espresso blends, I was elated. The new Double Espresso Scuro and Chiaro capsules provide such smooth, rich, bold flavors that give us that extra twice as nice jolt that we sometimes need to get the day going. The machine is super easy to use with a just a one touch button that will detect exactly how much water to use to brew your coffee with. My husband favorite is the Double Espresso Chiaro mixed with a little bit of heavy cream and I love the Scuro with a splash of coconut milk. Whether it be a single espresso, double espresso or full cup of joe, you can be certain that you’ll end up with the perfect cup everytime with a beautiful layer of crema. I’m so glad that I took the leap and tried Nespresso because of the convenience but also being able to brew our own coffee at home has saved us so much money! And the capsules are recyclable so you can feel good about what you’re drinking too! Do yourself a favor and take a look into the Nespresso line, your taste buds (and wallet) will thank you.
